Your Employment Offer

Aspa Pulp operates 24/7, which places high demands on presence and availability. Safety, health, and the environment are very important aspects of daily operations, and continuous improvements are an ongoing effort.

As a process engineer, you will be responsible for controlling, planning, and monitoring the operations within chemical recovery and power distribution. The department of Lut & Power/Recovery includes areas such as Soda Boiler, Evaporation, Causticizing – Mixing, Cooking, and Turbine. You will also work on several exciting projects. Currently, a conversion of the soda boiler is underway, along with future energy-saving projects.

The role is based at Aspa Pulp just outside Askersund. Since you have departmental responsibility, you are expected to be on-site most of your workweek, but flexibility for remote work up to 1 day a week is possible. You will report directly to the production manager. Within the Lut & Power department, you will closely collaborate with five shift leaders who have personnel responsibility for each shift team of about 16 employees. You will also work cross-functionally with two other process engineers from different departments.

Your Responsibilities

Your tasks include, among others:

  • Close collaboration with the maintenance department, production manager, shift leaders, and other personnel within the department to achieve set short- and long-term goals.
  • Daily monitoring of the department's production regarding goals, quality, and the environment.
  • Investigations and proposals for actions regarding the work environment, ensuring that corrective and preventive measures are resolved satisfactorily and sustainably.
  • Participating in/leading project work.

Good to Know

The role includes on-call duty. A monthly bonus is applied and paid out upon achieving goals. There is also an active staff club that initiates veteran forums, ski trips, golf, crayfish fishing, etc.

  • An engineering degree or equivalent experience in the field.
  • Experience from the process industry.
  • Some type of leadership experience.

  • Swedish and English in spoken and written form.
